How to disable Auto Correct in Android Nougat 7.0

If you are new to Android Nougat 7.0, you might and wondering how to turn off auto-correct option from your Google keyboards.As the Android Nougat is new,keyboard its features and appearance are also changed as compared to its previous generation of Android OS.

If you can’t find a way to disable text auto-correction in Android nougat, then you can follow below step to disable it.Text auto correction is an excellent feature, but if you want to turn down this option, it can be easily done.


Android Nougat contains two new option in Settings which are Physical Keyboard and Keyboard which are two entirely different options.

In Physical keyboard option, all the setting related to the physical keyboard are present which you connect to your device via USB or Bluetooth whereas in virtual keyboard all the keyboard settings are present that are already installed in your device is present like Google keyboard.

How to Turn Off Auto Correct for Keyboard on Nougat

  1. Open Device Settings page.
  2. Select Languages & Input » and then select Virtual keyboard.
  3. Then select your Keyboard app (for e.g. Google keyboard).
  4. From there select Text correction » and then turn off Auto-correction toggle.

So that’s how you can turn of text auto correct feature on android nougat 7.0 in any device.
