Google has released the android 6.0 Marshmallow source code to AOSP, and the 3rd party developers have taken this matter into their hands to deliver an AOSP based marshmallow ROM to Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet.
Thanks to Dmitry Grinberg, he is the one who has released a Marshmallow ROM for Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet. He has also released the Marshmallow ROM for Nexus 10 and Nexus 4, which has been recently told about in our posts.
The ROM is very stable and has a lot of functions. Out of those the major are, SELinux, Camera, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are all working fine, so we probably think it’s safe to install on the Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet.
You can grab the Marshmallow ROM for Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet from the download link below, and simply flash it using a custom recovery with a Factory reset + Wipe cache & Dalvik cache.
Since this is an AOSP ROM you won’t have Google Play Services pre-installed on it. To get Google Play Services you need to flash a compatible Gapps package separately after flashing the ROM. Grab Marshmallow Gapps package from the download link below,
If anyone faces any problem in flashing the ROM or Gapps Package, or if any download link is not working then you can ask me by writing in the comment section below.
