Here is another Marshmallow Rom of Nexus 7 2012 Edition although it has not been possible for Google to give software updates to this aging tablet, but that doesn’t meant that latest android releases would come to halt for this tablet. This tablet supports only 1 GB RAM, and it was even hard to believe that even lollipop update would come to this tablet.

Google has released the android 6.0 Marshmallow source code to AOSP, and the 3rd party developers have taken this matter into their hands to deliver an AOSP based marshmallow ROM to Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet.

Thanks to Dmitry Grinberg, he is the one who has released a Marshmallow ROM for Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet. He has also  released the Marshmallow ROM for Nexus 10 and Nexus 4, which has been recently told about in our posts.

The ROM is very stable and has a lot of functions. Out of those the major are, SELinux, Camera, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are all working fine, so we probably think it’s safe to install on the Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet.

You can grab the Marshmallow ROM for Nexus 7 2012 Edition Tablet from the download link below, and simply flash it using a custom recovery with a Factory reset + Wipe cache & Dalvik cache.

►Download Nexus 7 2012 Marshmallow ROM

Since this is an AOSP ROM you won’t have Google Play Services pre-installed on it. To get Google Play Services you need to flash a compatible Gapps package separately after flashing the ROM. Grab Marshmallow Gapps package from the download link below,

►Download Gapps For Android 6.0 Marshmallow

If anyone faces any problem in flashing the ROM or Gapps Package, or if any download link is not working then you can ask me by writing in the comment section below.
