Moto G 3rd gen 2015 today got an OTA update by Motorola.The update is big as compared to Moto G 2nd gen update as it is only 18 mb,But in Moto G 3rd gen the size of the update is about 177.4 mb.No
it’s not marshmallow update (Android M 6.0) πŸ˜› it’s only a incremental
update provided by Motorola in India and other countries too.So what is
new in this OTA Update.Check out the features that is included in this

1.Stagefright Fix

The first and the most important is Fix for Stagefright vulnerability update.your Moto G 3rd gen can be protected by hackers.

2.Add Night Mode to Camera

Added night mode to camera application. Humm?? Night mode?

3rd gen.May be increase in the quality of night mode pictures.

1.Navigate to settings -> about->Check for Update
2.You will see a notification showing a new System software update system version 23.46.4.en.03 is available like below image.

3.Then tap on Yes,I’M IN and select Wi-fi or Mobile Network and tap on DONE ! Your Update will start downloading.

4.After downloading the update it will automatically reboot your device and install the system update.
5.It will take at least 15 min to update your device or more.After installing the update your device is ready to Use.

  1. Uhh, no night mode for the camera is not on all G3's. I have two and neither has night mode in the camera settings. Apparently some models have it from the factory and some don't.

    • So possibly you device already got the update when it is shipped.For checking it try the test for stagefright update for checking it download stagefright detector from playstore and give me feedback.

  2. My phone has not get any update yet …I have bought my phone in Nov 2015..And it’s still running in 5.1.1 Android…I have tested stage fright test nd it’s showing vulnerable
